An act of creation - Dior Sauvage

I’m going to say this straight away, this bad boy is so good it hurts.

I have fallen absolutely head over heels in love with it at first sniff, probably because it does so many different things on so many levels.

Dior says: “Sauvage is an act of creation inspired by wide-open spaces. An ozone blue sky that dominates a white-hot rocky landscape.”

I say: Sauvage Dior is the sort of versatile fragrance I’ve been hunting down for years.

And, before I get into the nitty-gritty of this masterpiece, I’ll just say that Sauvage is a prime example of how your nose can be led by your intuition. It was just a matter of time before it became a absolute commodity. And for a damn good reason.

The first thing I notice is the rich and loud citrusy and soapy combo of bergamot and spices. Other notes include ambrox, elemi, geranium, lavender, patchouli and vetiver.

It’s one of the most fresh (but not too overpowering) and versatile fragrances out there, but it also has certain elegance and masculinity that I think will make it irresistible to many people.

So, yeah, it’s for those who like to keep things uncomplicated whatever the season.

Performance wise, this is a compliments magnet with a solid longevity and projection (it will give you about 6 hours).

To my nose, it feels like it will do incredibly well for all ages (drawback: you will smell like a lot of men), and… it’s sensual, sexy, safe and versatile all the way. So it’s a tick in the right box for me.
