Ixbeta: A Citrus Journey That Surprises and Delights
I wasn’t sure what to expect from Ixbeta, but it’s definitely taken me by surprise. Tiziana Terenzi has recently launched this fragrance, and I have to say, it's a bit of a journey. It’s one of those scents that doesn’t hit you immediately but reveals itself in layers, and I’ve grown to really enjoy that about it.
Right from the start, you get this burst of bright citrus—Calabrian Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, and Sorrento Lemon. It’s fresh and zesty, but what keeps it interesting is the spice from Indian Cardamom, which adds just the right amount of warmth without overpowering the citrus. There’s also this little hint of Dolomite Redcurrant that gives it a slightly tart edge.
So, what are the key notes in Ixbeta?
- Calabrian Bergamot
- Sicilian Orange
- Indian Cardamom
- Himalayan Osmanthus
- Cambodian Oudh
As it settles, the heart notes bring a bit of spice and floral softness. There’s Pink Pepper in there, which adds some warmth, but it’s balanced with floral notes like Osmanthus and African Geranium. It’s not too floral though, which I appreciate—it’s more sophisticated than sweet. Plus, there’s a bit of peach and raspberry that brings a touch of fruitiness.
What I really like about Ixbeta is the base—it’s smooth and earthy without being too heavy. You’ve got Ambergris and Tuscan Oakmoss, which keep things grounded, while Australian Sandalwood adds a creamy warmth. The Cambodian Oudh gives it a slightly exotic twist, and the fragrance just lingers beautifully throughout the day.
Ixbeta isn’t loud, but it’s complex. It’s one of those fragrances that evolves the longer you wear it, which I really enjoy. It has enough layers to keep you intrigued, but it’s still versatile enough to wear daily. It’s a fragrance that feels personal, not something that’s going to shout for attention—but that’s what makes it special.
