Reviews1013.07.2022This is not what I expected, and I adore it. Skin Reserve is beautiful, delicate, feminine, soft, and powdery. It has a musk at it's base that is clean and soapy, like freshly-washed linen right out of the dryer that's just been put on freshly-showered skin; it's not at all animalic or masculine. It opens with a blast of florals and very quickly settles into what I can only describe as the accord of 'freshly-showered skin dusted in baby powder'. This is a smell from my childhood. In fact, this fragrance is literally a bottled version of how our clean bathroom would smell right after my mom would finish showering. Ok, weird, I know, sorry, lol. Let me explain: my mother is from an older generation. She would always put baby powder on her skin after she showered, so when I was growing up there was a distinct smell of powder lingering in the bathroom along with the steam on the mirrors after she would leave. I always loved that smell. It was a really comforting. Aaand somehow this brand managed to literally bottle that exact scent!
